Magnitudes of basic slag on iron dynamics in Two acid sulfate soils during 30-months of incubation under various moisture regimes

The magnitudes of basic slag (BS) at 0, 10, 20 and 30 t ha-1 on iron dynamics in two acid sulfate soils (ASSs) under moisture field capacity, saturated condition wetting-drying cycle were studied during months incubation (25-30 0C). impacts BS Sarisabari ASS almost similar as those obtained Purbapukuria various treatments, but the increments pHs not pronounced observed ASS. pH values increased by about 1.0, 1.5 1.2 units 2.0, 1.7 ASSs, received BS30 cycle, respectively followed BS20 > BS10 treatments. contents cations studiedASSswere low to medium, while acidic very high relation amounts found ASSs elsewhere. Magnesium 2 3 -folds than Ca Fe high. application was reduce acidity problems noticeably decreased remarkably. Neutralization saturation level determined be best for both capacity cycle. soil have strong positive relationship with time, showed negative corresponding ASSs.
